I haven't heard of a Norwegian purl stitch. How is it different from regular purl - or for short, what book describes it?

This is another feather and fan stitch scarf being knit with baby alpaca - very soft. For this piece I taught myself how to do the Norwegian purl stitch. A bit tricky at first but okay now.
