This afternoon I discovered this flower had blossomed. Once again I've no idea what it is. The landscaper put in about ten of these shrubs but so far this is the only bloom.
Your blossom is from a slow growing small tree/shrub called feijoa, or common name of pineapple guava. Very pretty flowers! Here's a link to some Wiki info:
