The final "page" is complete. This memory ornament is in honor of my late mother-in-law. The lace was taken from the underdress to her wedding gown. When it actually came time to cut into the dress, just couldn't do it. The gown itself is nothing but lace and therefore had a silk and lace underdress. Some of the lace on this part of the gown was damaged so that is where I cut into it. The pin was from her childhood.

This is a wonderful piece, Dee. I appreciate how you felt about cutting into that gown -- but you certainly found a way to incorporate this special garment into this lovely, lovely beaded project.

What a lovely tribute to your m-i-l. The piece feels very calming and lush at the same time.

This is exquisite! I've saved the enlarged version of the photo in my BJP favorites file. Awesome...
Was she like this? If I look at it as a portrait, I see a gentle woman who is balanced (or perhaps focused would be a better word), feminine and elegant without being snobbish. And it's obvious you care about her deeply. A beautiful piece! Robin A.
Like the new look.
Also, glad you left the wedding dress intact.
Beautiful piece for your memories of Mary
