BJP 2009

December is in honor of my older sister. The thread used for the embroidery is a silk buttonhole twist that she used on a wool suit that she made while in college.
January is in honor of my grandmother, Ida. The central portion is a button from her collection.

February is in honor of the five cats I've had the pleasure of sharing my life with.

These are great - wish I could see them up close! I especially like the one for your Grandmother.

I love your pages! Using the button, either figuratively or literally, is such a wonderful idea. The one to your grandmother, Ida, I particularly like.

What great tributes! I especially love your grandmothers. those old buttons are so beautiful. The stitching around it just magnifies its beauty.

these are stunning. The first two are works of art, but the hearts for the cats is the best :)

Oh Dee, these are just wonderful! I love pieces that are about someone and the one piece about your cats is so special. Is it a collar tag in the center? Is Maggie one of the 5? I couldn't pick a favorite, because they all so obviously hold your love and respect. The one about your sister is so tailored looking... is that a reflection of her orderly personality? Robin A.
